The challenge

The constraint behind the work.

Accessible online communication cannot be reduced to one interface option. Meeting flows must account for different participant roles, assistive needs, shared content, live text, interpretation, and the operational support required before and during a session.

AccessMeet brings those concerns into a dedicated meeting product built around Jitsi Meet. The work requires both application engineering and a controlled operating model for deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and continued product development.

Our role

Responsibility at the critical interfaces.

AccessMeet is developed and owned by INSERTA EMPLEO, part of Grupo Social ONCE. Consensus Labs works under a non-exclusive commercialisation licence and provides application development, maintenance, deployment, monitoring, and technical support within the current partnership model.

INSERTA retains product ownership and operates the underlying infrastructure and backups. The parties coordinate product decisions, commercial opportunities, implementation, and technical service.

The work

What the engagement covered.

  1. 01 Develop and maintain the web application and its meeting administration workflows
  2. 02 Integrate controlled conference access and role-based behavior with Jitsi Meet
  3. 03 Support captions, transcription, screen-share OCR, Easy Read, and sign-language interpreter workflows
  4. 04 Strengthen accessibility semantics and automated regression coverage
  5. 05 Maintain release, deployment, monitoring, and support procedures
  6. 06 Develop international opportunities and support customer onboarding and integration

Outcome and status

Product engineering with an accessibility mission

The partnership combines INSERTA's product ownership and accessibility mission with Consensus Labs' experience in real-time systems, application delivery, technical operations, and international commercial development.

The work is ongoing. Capabilities and deployment arrangements continue to evolve through the agreed product and operating process.

AccessMeet shows why inclusive technology depends on the whole product system: interaction design, meeting roles, media behavior, content interpretation, release quality, deployment, and support must work together.
